The UBORA team aims to improve organisational practices and strategic

planning of  organisations, as well as the internal M&E in order to improve the projects and   programs contribution towards social change and social transformation.


We provide technical assistance for the development of capacities and

the promotion of sound organisational practices.

Our projects aim to bring about sustained transformative changes. We believe that worthwhile and enduring changes can only come about through reflection, learning and organizational learning.

Learning is not simply about obtaining more information, but rather expanding the ability to acquire what we really want.

Living is knowledge and all forms of life experience are knowledge.

Any "doing", no matter what and how, is knowledge, and all knowledge is"doing".

Networks are present everywhere. All we need is to be aware of them and understand them as a new organizational language.


Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is an essential component in a project cycle and is intended to provide ongoing systematic monitoring throughout the project cycle, and aiming to be integrated within the organization itself, from identification and implementation through to the final processes of assessment.


Thus M&E encourage understanding and learning of social processes and dynamics generated beyond the actual scope of the project, showing us how we can contribute to change and generate added value as an organization. At a purely practical level, M&E will also help us to share learning and knowledge, identify both

intended and unintended outcomes, reflect on the right path to follow when implementing a project or program during its lifecycle, and ultimately sizing up our impact as an organization within the context in which we find ourselves, and understanding this “context” in the broadest sense possible.


UBORA provides the tools to ensure that M&E processes lead to organizational learning, and not just accountability to donors and funding agencies. We firmly believe that it is not enough to use one method or model for M & E, but rather by mixing and combining different approaches facilitate comparative analysis.

Organizational Learning

Organizational learning is the commitment of an organization to integrate their learning by improving organisational practices. This implies generating competencies, understood as a body of knowledge, skills and attitudes that facilitate the adaptation of organizations to increasingly complex and changing contexts, which in turn allows them to influence and transform them.


Although we all have the ability to learn, organizational structures in which we have to work are often not conducive to reflection and commitment. In addition, we may lack

the tools and guiding principles to make sense of and guide us through situations and challenges that we might face. Hence, it is important to promote collective learning, increasing the capacity of organizations to adapt and to project themselves in the current context.


This implies working with systemic thinking, the development of personal capacities and the incorporating of a shared vision, creating spaces for collective learning.

Organizations are increasingly aware of the merit of working together, realizing the great potential of uniting forces and capacities along with technical, human and financial resources. This includes developing projects in partnership or through networks, establishing alliances or designing common strategies to boost effectiveness.


There has been an exponential increase in both initiatives and actors working in partnerships and networks towards the creation of an area for reflection and debate

on the sharing of resources and capacities. Nevertheless, this process of reflection sometimes needs to be incorporated in a more structured way: in the first place in the organizational phase and later at an operational level.


UBORA offers training for both organizations and networks, which aims to facilitate comprehension of the institutional dynamics of collaboration, participation and decision-making. These processes are a natural result, which arise from working with such a wide variety of actors and/or interests.
